30th April-7th May 2016-Istanbul Mobility.

30th April-7th May Istanbul Mobility-
Our partners; Bem School, twelve students and two teachers  from Warsaw,Poland and IES Isbilya twelve students and two teachers from Seville,Spain visited Istanbul,our school Ozdemir Sabanci Emirgan Anatolian High School between the dates 30th of April and 7th of May 2016.

April 30th,2016-The Erasmus+ Polish and Spanish groups that participated in the project landed in Istanbul on the 30th of April. After the meeting session, they did arrive at our school by a van and quickly dispersed to their homes with their partners afterwards. 

May 1st,2016-The day after that they had breakfast with their partners(Teachers had breakfast in Rumelihisari) for the first time and when the clock hit 13:00  all Turkish,Spanish,Polish students and teachers,almost fifty people took  Bosphorus boat trip. All of our guests were very excited with the view of historical palaces, towers,historical mosques,wooden Bosphorus houses,historical military school,the bridges that connect the two cities and the continents.After the boat trip they had the whole afternoon for free to explore the neighborhood in Emirgan. All the students were offered to eat either shish kebab or burritos. They really liked the food and the turkish beverage called “Ayran”. Ayran is a cold yogurt beverage mixed with salt. In Turkey it is considered a national drink. 

May 2nd,2016-All of the Turkish,Polish and Spanish students attended Ozdemir Sabanci Emirgan Anatolian high school in the morning  to take part in a presentation,welcoming programme. In the programme,students introduced themselves,teachers and our headmaster made a speech,Turkish education system is introduced, all countries' cities presentations ,Turkish folklore show is done and students' music band played their songs.At the lunch break the Erasmus students had the chance to taste various types of Turkish food and desserts. In the afternoon students attended Biology and English classes.After that students and the teachers were free.

May 3rd,2016- All students groups and teachers went to the Belgrade Forest to have picnic and compete with each other in the orienteering. The orienteering was very fun but exhausting. After that we had a picnic and returned to the school afterwards. From school studens went to the Baltalimanı Football Field to play some football.The only negative thing was the rainy weather which was very surprising for everybody.

May 4th,2016-The day after that students attended classes until twelwe o' clock and after our classes ,we went to a sightseeing tour of Istanbul on the Anatolian-Asian side. During the tour famous Maiden Tower, Beylerbeyi Palace and the Camlica Hill has been visited.Our guests enjoyed the breathtaking view of Istanbul from the highest hill. After the sightseeing tour-which was very tiring- all of the students went to their homes and got prepared for the next day.

May 5th,2016- All of the students groups went to the TED Sports Center to do all kind of sports activities. They did tennis, climbing, fencing and basketball. They ate lunch at the facilities and were free to go afterwards to enjoy the rest of the day with their partners.

May 6th,2016- Students, attended more classes for three hours,mainly English,Music,Art,Math,literature.. After eating lunch students were organised to play a basketball match between the Spanish students and the Turkish students. The Turks won the game by 2 points.Polish and the spanish students played a volleyball game together. When all the sports activites were done, they went in to the conference hall to have the farewell party.Certificates are presented,goodbye talks are done by the teachers, songs are sung.Afterwards students were given free time to spend with their partners.Teachers had a farewell dinner.

May 7th,2016-Spanish and Polish students and teachers met in front of our school to say goodbye to their friends.It was a heartbreaking moment and most of the students and teachers cried
